In 1989 Ocean Contract Cleaning embarked on their longstanding relationship with Abbey National at their purpose built Head Quarters in Milton Keynes. Since then Ocean have continued to service an increasing number of Abbey National's Head Office Buildings throughout the South of England establishing a uniform and consistent approach to all fifteen locations.
The buildings are managed and developed by our two managers Rhona Yorke and John Nicholson. During the late 1990's we introduced the Documented Output Specification, which delighted Abbey National. By identifying exactly the areas requiring high and low frequencies of cleaning we were able to produce a cleaning standard worthy of Abbey National's business satisfying both building users and financiers. Today a dedicated team of thirty full time and over one hundred part-time staff provide a full range of service support to ensure that Abbey National's cleaning requirements are amply satisfied throughout a range of office environments. These include Abbey National's nerve centre the Dealer's Room, 24 Hour Call Centres, IT Development, Cash Counting, Title Deed Storage and the more familiar areas; receptions, post rooms, print rooms, restaurants, meeting rooms and day to day open plan office accommodation. Ocean provides a transparent audit trail, by operating a full open book policy on all services from waste disposal to mat provision. Ocean's trained Portering Team actively monitor and record the amounts of waste sent for recycling to help Abbey National ensure that targets set by European Legislation are met. Our unique management structure allows Rhona and John the time to work a thorough quality control inspection system that ensures that all areas serviced are inspected weekly. Recently, during an increasingly competitive labour market in Milton Keynes, Ocean were able to overcome the difficulties experienced by our competitors with our strongly established thirty-year reputation in the city and management networking ability. We were able to find the right jobs for the right people at a time that suited both our customer and our staff.
Ocean has now commenced cleaning the Abbey National's new registered office in London. Ocean was happy to help when the Triton Square architect consulted us during the initial design stages. John Nicholson said, "I am delighted with the innovations incorporated into the design of Triton Square and look forward to providing a quality clean to one of London's most prestigious office blocks." |
