Ocean won the Institute of Education contract in 1992, our first education contract in London. The Institute is an Adult Teacher Training Centre and Conference Facility catering for 2000 students.

The contract provides a split cleaning schedule. There is a morning and evening cleaning shift to ensure that classrooms and lecture theatres are ready for full time day students and evening mature students.

Site Manager Yemi Afunogidan and her team maintain the conference and meeting areas so that they are ready for use throughout the day.

Yemi said, “…the most demanding time of the year is the Marxist Conference. The conference is a massive four day event with over 10,000 visitors. We work hard throughout the night and at the end of the conference we all get a well deserved break”.

Over the years, Ocean has offered the Institute value for money together with a stable management team. Yemi was recently awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the Institute in recognition for all her hard work.

Yemi said “The award reflected the hardwork and sense of achievement of the whole team over the years and I was very happy to receive the certificate which is displayed in our office”.
