Ocean announced as finalist for prestigious security award

Ocean Security Solutions has once again been shortlisted in the prestigious Security Excellence Awards.

The annual event recognises best practice and outstanding achievement within the security sector and are widely regarded as the Oscars of the industry.

Ocean has been selected as a finalist in the Approved Contractor Scheme Champion of the Year category, which seeks to identify Approved Contractors that have taken exceptional steps to further the spirit of the scheme.

At the 2010 event Ocean’s dedicated security provider walked away with the award for Best Practice in Door Supervision.

Now in their thirteenth year, the Security Excellence Awards have consistently broken new ground in highlighting the very best people, projects and processes the UK’s security sector has to offer.

The awards ceremony also serves as a fundraising night for charities such as Victim Support and the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK.

Ocean’s inclusion on the shortlist of finalists is particularly notable as the Security Excellence Awards this year received a record number of entries.

Event Producer Jemma Knight wrote: “The shortlist judging consisted of much discussion and debate.  The judges were particularly impressed with the high calibre of entries received which made the judging session especially interesting and enjoyable.”
