Securing an Enhanced Service for Clients
New technology is providing Ocean's customers with improved security and service.
The company’s dedicated London cleaning team has received positive feedback following the installation of biometric time and attendance systems at its sites in the capital.
Ocean has entered into partnership with leading time management system company Auto:Time to implement a biometric system that integrates with our own attendance and accounting software. The technology is currently approaching the end of its trial period.
Employees ‘sign in’ at their place of work by placing their palm into a hand scanner that recognises their details against a secure central database.
This means attendance on site can be tracked to the minute, ensuring all members of staff are on site when they should be. It also provides greater transparency to clients as they can be assured authorised staff are present within their buildings at the times they should be.
Staff who have received training on the new biometric scanners have reacted positively to their introduction.
Cleaning Operative Rose Mary Aaba said: “It’s easy to use and it’s a better way to clock in.”
