The most assured quality mark within the security industry has been officially awarded to Ocean Group security provider Soundsec.

 

The London-based company which was acquired by Ocean last year has formally been awarded National Security Inspectorate (NSI) Guarding Gold Accreditation.
 
NSI is the leading approvals and certification body that inspects companies providing home security, business security and fire safety services. Its aim is to raise standards in the security and fire industries in the interests of the customer.
 
NSI Gold companies go beyond the standard NSI accreditation by meeting higher standards of quality and demonstrating a long term track record of performance, reliability and stability.

Ocean awarded New Cleaning Contract at Sussex Downs College

Ocean Contract Cleaning Ltd has started work on a new contract with one of the largest Further Education Colleges in southern England.
 
A three-year agreement to provide cleaning services to Sussex Downs College commenced at the beginning of September. The contract is to provide cleaning services to the College’s Lewes, Eastbourne and Newhaven campuses. More than 30 members of cleaning staff transferred to Ocean upon commencement of the contract and a further 30 have been recruited.
 
The Ocean Group employs over 2,200 staff members and operates offices in London, Luton, Portsmouth, Swindon, Kettering and Stockport. The founding principal of 'right first time, every time' still applies today. The key to Ocean’s success has always been their people, as they place a heavy emphasis on training and supporting staff. The company have Investor in People status and in 2006 were awarded the coveted ISO 14001 environmental management and OHSAS 18001 Health and Safety accreditations.
 
Approximately 16,000 learners currently study at Sussex Downs College making it the largest General Further Education College in the south east region. Its high standards have been recognised with numerous awards including Investors in People, Training Quality Standard and the Employment Services Disability Symbol. The College has also been awarded Learning and Skills Beacon status by the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills.
