Maureen Threadgold - Health And Safety Manager, Ocean Group

Maureen began her career at Ocean in 2001 as an Area Manager before taking on her current role of Health and Safety Manager in 2006.

Maureen was specifically selected for the job by the Company Directors as it was felt her track record of achieving high standards and her personal “hands-on” approach would enable her to meet the significant responsibility of the role.

The huge variety of work involved – meaning no two days are ever the same – is a working environment in which Maureen thrives. This broad range of duties allows her to use numerous skills including problem solving, risk assessment and effective communication. The broad scope of responsibility also means Maureen is frequently working to tight deadlines, which she is able to meet through effective planning and efficient time management.

The importance of Health and Safety in the workplace is something Maureen never underestimates and she says the significant role she plays in ensuring the welfare of Ocean’s staff is a constant source of satisfaction.

As a long-standing member of the Ocean team Maureen enjoys a positive relationship with all company staff, being sure to treat others in a friendly and professional manner while retaining focus on the company’s aims and goals.

 
She lists her personal aspirations as seeking to better herself within the company and to always give 100 percent to Ocean and its clients.
